How To Make A Custom Shadow Box/ Photo Tray (Tutorial)

How to make a custom shadow box/ custom photo Tray/ Configuration Box

Supplies:

- Mounting Board
- Craft Knife
- Ruler
- Cutting Mat
- Hot Glue Gun/ E6000
- Distress Ink
- Gesso
- Acrylic Paint
- Clear Acrylic Sealer
- Various Patterned Papers
- Wet Glue

First, you'll need to decide how big you want your shadow box to be. My shadow box measured at 30cm x 28cm. So cut out the base at 30cm x 28cm. Then decide how deep you want your shadow box were going to be. Begin to cut out your plain mounting board in the same depth, mine is 3cm.

I began by sticking strips of mounting board around all 4 edges on the base. Then I used my goodies/ embellishments to help me determine how big the compartment to be. Then trimmed the 3cm strips to fit in the box.

Once I found a configuration I was happy with, I used a pencil to mark where the divider were on the inside of the box. Then i used E6000 to glue them down.

Once you have all you compartments done, begin to apply gesso on your box.

After letting the gesso dries, I used a dark brown acrylic paint to paint the whole box.

Let dry, seal your box with clear acrylic sealer for an extra protection.

Then cover the base with patterned papers.

It's all ready now to be filled with whatever goodies you choose!

Here is the final view of my project.

How To Make A Cake Banner

This cake banner was for me and my boyfie's 1000 days together :)

Supplies:
- Bamboo Sticks
- Twine
- Color Papers
- Glittered Letters Stickers
- Sciccors/ Utility Knife
- Wooden Numbers
- Glue Gun/ Glue Tape
- Sharpie Permanent Marker (Bronze Metallic)

Cut color papers into strips, fold it in half and cut a triangle out of the bottom.

Glue color papers to the twine, tie it on the sticks.

then stick your letters on the papers.

For the numbers part, i used wooden numbers (you may opt to paper instead). Apply hot glue on the back of the numbers and the sticks.

Then use Sharpie (Bronze Metallic) to paint your numbers.

Cut black paper to strips and fold it to make a bow like shape, add a rhinestone then glue it on the sticks.

And we are done. Voila!
